The overall experience with Ion solar has been pretty painless. The only negative is that we were promised follow up from the individual that sold us the panels however, we have not heard from him at all. Also, we requested one of our panels to be corrected in the front of our home that looked pretty crooked. We have not had that complete either. Other than those 2 unfortunate events ion solar has been a pleasure to work with.

Our sales representative was very organized and knowledgeable. He was never pushy and made sure everything he told us was followed up on. The whole company made sure we were kept in the loop throughout the process.

Had some issues to get our HOA approval. ION solar said they take care of it. Had some run arounds to get the right documents to get the solar panels approved with our HOA.

Very slow process. Highly over priced compared to other solar companies. They fund your loan before you are given permission to operate by the utility company so you end up having overlapping solar loan payments and energy bill payments. They’ll do anything to get your business but look elsewhere as many companies are much cheaper!

Very VERY slow installation. End proct seems to be functioning. More time is needed to be sure I have enough panels

I am happy with my solar panels. The company worked through some problems. One problem is some of the conduit runs looked horrible so I had to fix them.

The installation of the system had a slow start, and then I noticed a leak in the roof after the installation. The installer came back and had to reseal all the mounting holes. The system is working great and saving me money!

ION Solar made the process easy and kept us informed step by step along the entire process. I just wish they would have taken advantage of all the rebates available to Oregon homeowners.

Even after installation, ION has kept in contact with me to make sure everything is running smoothly.

This company accomplished everything they promised! They even engaged my HOA when it looked like our install would not be approved. Right after install they followed up because one if the panels was underperforming —fixed! System is up and running great.

Hoping to see some savings. So far nothing….

Excellent communication pertaining to the ongoing progress of the permits required. The construction details were very descriptive as was the final construction performance. My only frustration was the documentation required to obtain the tax rebate.

Don’t like that I have not yet seen any savings.

Company not very good after the sale. I am still paying almost $200 on my electricity bill. I called my electric company and they showed me where the panels were producing a good amount of energy at the beginning but then the panels started under performing after 6 months. I contacted ION Solar and explained to them about the panels under performing to see if someone could come out and inspect the panels. I was told someone would get in touch with me. I waited for 2 weeks and no one reached out to me. I called a second time and told them this was the second time I was calling and explained to them again what the issue was with the panels and once again I was told again that someone would reach out to me. A couple of days later I received an email with charts and graphs explaining the way the panels produce energy. But still no one to physically come out and inspect the panels to see if they were connected correctly or damaged! This was in 2022. We are now 2023 and still no action from ION Solar. I am still paying up to $200 a month for electricity plus the regular payment for the panels! I would not recommend this company for this reason
