I started with this company thru Costco in January. It is now September and my solar is still not installed. Everytime I escalate the issue, someone would contact me for a day then disappears. If I try to contact them back, no one would return my call or text. Meanwhile, they already started auto payment even though I was told I would not have to start paying until my solar has been installed. I’m going to give them a few more months. If I don’t get my solar panels, I will cancel. Hopefully I get my money back.

PLEASE READ. Don't purchase solar panels from Sunrun. 30 months in and currently trying to get resolution to my problem. I have been without my solar panels delivering electricity to my house for last 6 weeks and racked up >$400 in new bills from the electricity company. Issues: managers don't get back with you, their is zero ownership, zero sense of urgency and zero concern to understand or solve my problem, their system for handling problems and logistics are very poor. Very poorly run company.

My personal experience started great with the initial salesman that came to home and explained everything really well. Then his area supervisor showed up, looking like he just rolled out of bed. He then proceeded to take over the sale. He lost my business because of his "pressure sales tactics." If you the offer then have them call you back in a couple of days after you sleep on it. Don't commit on the spot, Don't give them a couple of your drivers license, canceled check or anything other than what you already provided..

Ron D showed up at my house two years ago I think an I was A little unsure about doing business at the door like that but he seemed very respectful and informative so I let him in. I have to say everything he said lined up and we have been saving so much money more than we actually expected. I will definitely refer him to anybody because he said the right expectations with us and stayed in contact the whole way through!

Absolutely horrible service. Have been leasing since 7 years. The system went down earlier this summer. Over 3.5 months and still no news on the replacement system. Meanwhile I am paying the lease every month.

you have THE WORST customer service EVER ANYWHERE. I am a ham radio op, the noise created by cheap panels far exceeds any/all FCC standards. I have been promised help with this. Results-ZERO. I am totally dissatisfied with your product and less than worthless responses. The panels work just fine. The next letter goes to the FCC, hope it costs you a lot (I will, until you fix the problem) continue to tell anybody and anybody what a disreputable company you are. The last guy you want to deal with is either the FCC or a lawyer

Inverter on my system failed back in July. I discovered this myself by reviewing electricity bill's . Sunrun failed to inform me about the event so I'll keep wandering of why they have remote monitoring... To make story short I lcall them reporting the problem. I have been promised to get inverter replaced at certain date. Sunrun scheduling service LIED. No one showed up at the promised time frame - I called them back to find out what happened and guy on the phone was clueless about the appointment. Four hour of my time has been lost. I rescheduled for the next available time frame - more than two weeks down the road. I requested written confirmation this time. Anyways if they lie again and fail to adequately reimburse me for lost electricity generation I afraid that I will look for breached contract resolution at the court room.

Warning! Our inverter was found to be not working by accident and very high electric bill, not by your monitoring system. I have waited 2 months for a new inverter and now repair schedule is a month out. In the meantime we have missed out on our summer sunshine solar storage for winter months usage. Basically paying for a system I can’t use! They just don’t care.. Please fix my system that has been NON-Working since June. I don’t want apologies just a working system as promised in contract.

My solar was installed over 3 weeks ago and I have had no contact with my agent about what is going on. I was told when I purchased that permitting and will be taken care of ahead of time and the only wait will be for PG&E to switch on. After calling around I am getting different answers of what is going on. I have been told like 4 different stories but the underline theme is the permit was screwed up and needed to be fixed. My agent assigned to me Angelica L has not tried to fix the situation or communicate in anyway. I am paying PG&E bills for 100+ heat because Sunrun cannot figure out what they are doing. At this point I just want the panels removed and go with a different provider that will actually acknowledge that I exist. Sunrun was quick to take my money, but actually communicating afterwards is nonexistent.

great program. Service after the sale is questionable. Their monitoring of the system is lacking

Worst company ever! Our panels were installed 2 months ago and still haven’t heard from our representative as to why they are still not working. We’ve sent email after email and no response. We called customer service and they said we should reach out to our representative. Such a frustrating situation! I regret choosing this company for solar panels. At this point we have no idea who to reach out to for answers. This whole process began at the end of May and it’s now a day from September. Horrible experience!

My inverter went out on the 16 of Aug .22 (System has only been working 3 months) I was not notified . I found out myself . It has been a week and half and all i get from Sunrun is that the inverter will take 6-8 weeks to replace as they do not keep in stock . Its under warranty but have to wait for Solar Edge the manufacture to get one or make it or what ever they do . I find this totally unacceptable.. They get you money then say screw you Larry in CC Ca

they messed up my account so unknowingly and hearlessly, the deactivated half my system. Their customer service is brutal and they lied to me. One person does not know what the other is doing. So i lost the value of almost 1 month of electeric solar generation.

It took over a year for Vivint (now Sunrun) to turn the system on after installing it due to one issue after another requiring follow-up appointments that were scheduled 3 months out each time. They finally did turn it on 2018. There were numerous problems with breakers, inverters, etc. after that. The current and most pressing problem now with that the communication unit stopped working in December of 2020, and they seem to be incapable of fixing or replacing it, as call after call, appointment after appointment are scheduled to no avail. They even send out repairmen without checking if the replacement part has come in (it had not). They finally installed another small box, but it still didn't communicate. I called again and "Mary" told me that they needed to enter the serial number in the system and it should work in a day or two, and she PROMISED to call back and check. She never did, and it's still not working. (She's in a long line of customer service reps who have promised to follow up and never did.) THIS HAS B EEN GOING ON FOR A YEAR AN 8 MONTHS SO FAR. I call again and again, and they say that Riley B (who is assigned to the account) is the ONLY person that I'm allowed to speak with - but Riley is NEVER available and NEVER calls back, so I wait a few days and call again, and spend another hour on the phone PLEADING for ANYONE WHO CAN HELP. In the meantime, SDG&E wants their money, but Sunrun is unwilling to speak to them about what my system is generating until the technical issues are resolved, which apparently is never. UNBELIEVABLY POOR SERVICE.

I have had my Sunrun Solar system for over one year. Anna our sales rep she explained everything and answered all my questions. I highly recommend Anna , she guided me through every step of the way through the installation. The hardware is zero maintenance and the software they use runs great. The installation & setup was quick then waited for my city and electric company approvals. You can review your systems progress or run a report anytime you want from anywhere you want.
