Got my panels from Sunrun via Trinity Solar. The guys from Trinity were courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and explained everything in detail and answered all my questions.

I submitted an online inquiry to receive information regarding Sunrun solar panel leases because a neighbor a few doors down was in the process of getting solar panels installed. Within 5 minutes of submission, a Sunrun rep calls me and we begin to go through the process to see if my home qualifies. After learning we qualify, I informed the rep that I wanted a ground mount installation. He proceeded to to tell me ground mount would cost more due to the additional trenching required. He then informed me that Sunrun does not do ground mount installation in my area which surprised me being as though the home 2 doors down was having a ground mount system installed that very same day. I explained to him that I drove by my neighbors home and they clearly have a ground mount system. The rep then told me that could not be possible and the telephone conversation soon became adversarial in which I recommended that he contact directly and confirm with actual sales rep who signed up my neighbors. I was supposed to receive a call back the following day but never did. I would of rather the telephone rep do proper research before insinuating what I saw was incorrect.

Sun Run is the worst company ever they don't live up to their agreements and when something is wrong you wait for ever for them to call you back which never come I would not recommend them to anyone. They are not there for the customer. who as to wait a month for an electrical problem which could cause a fire? Still waiting on a problem that I had in Aug of 2017 they refuse to comply that makes the contract Null and Void. Don't go with them you will be sorry, I know I am.

I give it a one-start because I can't leave a review without clicking on a star. My experience with Sunrun has been really bad, to say the least. I only had my panels for 5 months and already ran into problems. My solar panels were not producing any power for 2 weeks and had I not noticed it and checked the inverter and the meter I would not have known about it. I thought Sunrun monitors the systems but apparently they don't. I tried flipping the switches, per customer support guidance, including the breaker and it made the meter and inverter lit up and showed something. After a week, I checked again and it actually worked for a few hours since I flipped the breaker switch. The panels have not been producing power for 3 weeks now and the earliest Sunrun can send a technician to check the system is the 2 weeks away. What a pain. I'm looking for options now to get out of this Sunrun misery. If they just un-install my panels, I'm fine with it. I will go find another provider that really cares about customers.

Several of my neighbors had already used them so when we heard about them we asked for a rep to come over and give us a proposal. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and not pushy at all, so we signed up for it. I had already bought a solar system for a previous house, so I knew that it could cost quite a bit of money. We really liked the option they gave us of not paying a lot of capital upfront for their equipment. They seem to have a pretty good system to keep you informed through the process. They either email or call on every step of the way. Their construction team was very efficient too and as far as I know they did their job right.

What convinced me of going with it was the service agreement that we got from them. Everything was easy to do from the very beginning. It was clear from the get go that there was not going to be any heat in the framework, so we didn't have to worry about that.
