We started this process over 6 months ago. Finally installed 3 weeks ago and still waiting on inspection. Not able to test system and see if it saves us money. Looks like will still be paying DTE for electric and will be paying for the solar panels at same time. I was told would receive $ 500 for being a Veteran and then found out it was put in to total cost which at $70,000 that does nothing. Could have used that to help with double payments while waiting for system to get turned on. My wife is not happy. Making me look bad.

Signed my contract in may and we’re now in December. MY SYSTEM IS STILL NOT ACTIVE! Go with a local company!

Absolute worst customer experience I have ever had. My panels have been installed in August and according to Palmetto, we are waiting on Permission to Operate from my utility company. I was originally told Palmetto submitted for PTO on 10/13… I speak to another Palmetto rep who tells me PTO was submitted on 10/18. They have made up stories and lies throughout the whole process. I finally call my utility company and they tell me they still have not received the signed certificate of completion from my solar company. At this point I don’t even want these panels anymore. Signed the contract in May and we are almost in November and I have yet to be able to use the panels that have been sitting on my roof for 2 months now. They put the blame on everyone else because they are not diligent in their efforts or process’. The only “good” thing is they agreed to pay my payments until I am up and running. They paid October's and I got a bill for November saying they will automatically withdraw it from my account. I contacted the VP who said they “forgot” to submit to have this payment taken care of but will get it done.

Very SLOW process getting solar panels put on!! Plus I was mislead and still receive 2 monthly bills. One from Solar Panels & still 1 from Duke Power. Plus I was told Ibwould receive $500.00 for referring a friend and HAVE NOT received that $$$

They do a great job. had a small issue where in the installation part, a air conditioning pipe of mine was broken and they had to fix it, this could be worked on a little more for a 5 stars

During the initial meeting they told us things that were not true. They also have terrible communication and people weren't on the same page about things.

The process is entirely too long and there is lack of communication between phases of the project. I had my panels installed for 2.5 weeks now. I have not heard anything about getting the final inspection complete and when I follow up am told there is nothing they can do.

I have absolutely no faith in this company. I think the tactic is to get your solar panels installed make it seem smooth and seamless and then completely fail to have an inspection done to actually get use out of said panels. If you have to contact customer service multiple times a week for over a month now to be told the same exact thing “we will send a message to the scheduling team”. This does big fat NOTHING as I have yet to hear from anyone on that end of things. When asking to speak to supervisor I was told one would call back within 48 hrs and no one did (of course ). Even if they said we are low on inspectors it may be awhile I would understand (wouldn’t be happy but would at least know what is happening) because at this point I am paying for useless black squares on my roof that are supposed to be helping me SAVE money.

I’m not happy with the “service after the sale”! My system was installed in late May or early June—perfect for the summer months of sun, BUT it is still not operational at this point in time. Therefore, I am paying for something that should be paying for itself. I am very dissatisfied with the service and the response time, and at this point in time (August 26, 2022), I still do not know when my system will be fixed. In good conscience I cannot and will not recommend Palmetto to anyone in my sphere of influence!
