We used Greenlink for a solar installation on the roof of our business. They were informative throughout the process and took care of everything (permitting, etc). The process was super easy and everything was as advertised. Great company to work with!

Greenlink has been really great to work with through the estimate process, system development, installation, system commissioning, warranty issues and current operation and monitoring. During the above process, they have been very responsive when I have had questions and any issues with my system.

Before selecting a solar company, I interviewed 4 different companies. Greenlink was the most knowledgeable and didn't stretch the truth on how much I could save. My electric bill went from $250 a month to $27 a month in the summer. In the winter with leass sun my bill was still under $100 a month

I've seen several reviews mentioning their experience with other installers akin to working with a used car salesman while Greenlink was nothing like that. I cannot emphasize enough how true this is, the process started with my mother doing research for her home, a not particularly tech savvy woman in her sixties. I heard complaint after complaint from her about these fast talking, pushy sales people and how insanely expensive their systems were. Then she met Tom, and her praise led me to reach out an get a quote for my home to. In the end we got both systems installed for the same price others were quoting us for just the one and their entire staff was ready to help us every step of the way. They handle everything for you if you let them, coordinating with the bank to get a loan, filing for state rebates (IL Shines), even going over past electric bills to make sure they weren't selling us a system bigger than we needed. Hands down one of the best experiences I have had in purchasing anything really. The best part of it all though is their amazing staff, we had constant communication with several different people in different departments helping with whatever question we had, even more astounding is the fact that the communication is still open months after completing the install. One of their agents reached out immediately after a major snowstorm hit, with no prompting from us, to warn us of the warning messages we were likely to see from the system about it being non-functional, but not to worry that was just the snow covering the panels. All in all 11/10 absolutely fantastic experience.

Greenlink was recommended to us by a family member and we couldn’t be happier. They walked us through every step and answered every question we had. They were extremely knowledgeable on all aspects of the process. Everyone who came out was friendly and knowledgeable. The system was throughly explained to us. They navigated our village’s difficult permit process with expertise. Highly recommend this company.

I’m naturally skeptical of every vendor who tells me that they’ll take care of you from beginning to end. Well, I’m here to tell you Greenlink Energy Solutions is the rare unicorn in a forest full of companies who routinely over promise and under deliver. Simply put, Greenlink stood by every single promise they made. We couldn’t be happier with their customer service and product installation. They were knowledgeable about all of the nuances of our energy needs, product installation, equipment explanations, and rebate recovery. As a result, our energy usage currently sits at net zero and we feel our knowledge of home solar production is comprehensive. If you’re seeking long-term solutions to rising energy costs, you’d be very wise to work with Greenlink Energy Solutions. We’re customers for life.

I reviewed and had meeting with about 20 or 25 solar companies before I contracted with Green Link. I did my homework and knew what I wanted. Tom A came and listen to me and came up with a plan that suited me...seems other companies proposed what suited them. Green Link completed all the Illinois shines and other paperwork and helped my on paperwork I needed to do, super supportive. They monitor my system and have answered all my questions and concerns. The guys and gals that came out for the Install were very professional, worked with my schedule. I'm a night shifter so 7 am wake ups are hard..lol. At the end of the day I know I made the right choice and I have already recommended Green Links to friends and neighbors!!

The employees are all thoughtful, kind and knowledgeable. They monitor my system everyday. The system had a problem. They were relentless and figured it out. They even had the “big wigs” involved. No excuses they got the job done right and no problems since. Anytime I’ve had a question or needed to reach out the owner personally answered the phone and I got my questions answered. So if you want solar go with whom I think is the most honest, great crews , and best company Greenlink Energy Solutions. You won’t be sorry.

I contacted several providers and did a lot of research. Much of the hardware is similar. It's the installer that makes the difference. I am very glad I went with Greenlink. They gave me a system with both ground mounted and roof mounted solar panels. Everyone made the extra effort to make sure we got just what we wanted. The post installment follow up has been great.

Steer clear of this company. They are terrible. The sales team will promise you everything. Then, like many bad contractors, they do not deliver on their promises and they drag the project out into infinity. If you go with this company, you had better make sure that you have every little detail spelled out in your contract or you will be very disappointed. We started this project with this company in August of 2021 and it wasn't completed until 7 months later. Frankly, we aren't even sure if it was installed correctly. I wished I would have gone with a local reputable company, rather than with Greenlink. I keep kicking myself, because our county was running a discount special to get everyone to go solar, but instead of getting steep discounts, I elected to go through Greenlink, because Greenlink claimed to have both the experience and inventory with the panels and batteries that I wanted installed, Nobody in our area was using or offering the type of configuration that I wanted, which was top of the line. Greenlink also told me that they could get my system up and running before the end of the year in December, which was important, because we could only afford pulling the money out of our IRA and paying cash for this project if we could claim the 26% tax credit that was being offered for the year. I specifically let them know that. Of course, Greenlink didn't even get started installing the panels until the next year, so we ended up in a bigger tax bracket and had to pay over $28, 000 in taxes, because of them. Because the taxes were so large, we had to then pull even more money out of our IRA to pay them, so we will be paying, BIG TIME, in taxes, once again. Greenlink also failed to pass WE Energy's commissioning inspection, which went on and on and on. I think they failed it 7 or more times. Each time they attempted to pass inspection, we had major interruptions without power all day in our home. It was a pain in the butt. The people at We Energies told me that they still think the system is wired wrong, but they said that they just gave up trying to work with Greenlink and caved. That's not very comforting; especially considering how much money we sunk into this project. I didn't get the battery that I wanted either, which was part of the delay with the whole project. They just stayed quiet about not having the inventory available and waited a long time without contacting me until after I inquired about the hold up. Then, one their salespersons called me and pretended to offer me a "better battery" as consolation for all the delays. (It was actually not rated as good as the one I ordered and it was the one that everybody offered locally. This is why I went out of state with Greenlink in the first place I wanted the better panels and batteries). It turned out that they didn't have it available, so they tried to be sneaky about it. Unfortunately, I felt like they had me over a barrel at that point, so I ended up going with the generator that they offered, because getting the one I wanted would have created further delays and put us even further behind in meeting our deadline. As stated earlier, I couldn't afford that to happen, as I was in a hurry to get the project done before the end of the year for tax purposes. Of course, they didn't come remotely close to that deadline and we really got screwed. Greenlink's staff was awful, as well. They didn't clean up behind themselves. They left old equipment and trash in our yard and basement, including water bottles, cardboard boxes, and old wiring. They also repeatedly left our basement windows open to the cold when they left the job sigh for the day. (The staff working in our basement were communicating through the windows to the staff outside, so they left the windows open all day It would have been more appropriate for them to use walky-talkies or mobile phones) I didn't notice the first few times until I noticed that our furnace was running hard. Afterwards, I got in the habit of checking behind them. They also trampled our garden hose out in the freezing weather, shattering it into pieces and not owning up to it. I had to contact the owner about it. The jerk argued for a very long time about it, as he did with everything else, rather than just owning up to his mistakes and paying for the damages. Every single time I complained to the owner, he would argue into infinity rather than admitting fault. This man wouldn't admit fault for any problem or delay that his company caused. Frankly, I don't care if this company is veteran owned anymore, because the owner is extremely dishonest and difficult. He also refused to finish with another job that I requested of his company. I wanted to have an EMP guard installed by Greenlink to protect the new solar system, when the project was completed. The company initially agreed to do it, but we ended up in so many arguments with that the owner later refused to do the job. I'm apprehensive about having somebody else installing the EMP guard, because Greenlink is so dishonest that it would likely use it against us with any warranty claim we should make in the future, if needed. The only good thing that Greenlink did was offer to let us out of the contract when we first began arguing about the batteries and all of the delays, but after having all of our time wasted, it would have put us at the back of the line for services from all of the other solar companies in our area. At that point, we were too late to take advantage of our county's discount program and all the local companies told me that the prices were increasing by 10%, as well. Nevertheless, i wish we would have backed out of the contract when we had the chance. We aren't seeing the savings like we were promised with this solar system. Our bills are still just as high as ever. Actually, this winter they were the highest that they have ever been and we aren't using any more energy. Frankly, I'm not even sure if the panels were working this winter during the cold snaps. I haven't taken this up with We Energies yet, because I'm buried with projects right now, but shortly after I noticed how high the bills were, Greenlink came by our home and told me that they had to get on top of our roof to install something. I didn't ask any questions at the time, because I doubt they would even give us an honest answer anyway. I also doubt they would offer to pay for all the losses we suffered in energy bills due to their equipment malfunction. Unfortunately, we are stuck with them now and it is not a good thing. Future customers need to know that Greenlink does not know how to work with We Energies in Wisconsin. WE Energies told me that Greenlink's employees don't seem to know what they are doin, which is why they repeatedly failed to pass We Energies inspection. If this is what it is like to go solar, then it isn't worth it. When all was said and done, this $54,000 project actually cost us about $92, 000 when figuring the loss in taxes. To this day, I'm not even sure if the system is working correctly. I seriously doubt we will ever get our money's worth out of this in our lifetime. We sunk our hard earned money into this nightmare and it was not worth it.

Very clear communicators. Very good teamwork, with a whole team working on the ground aspects of our solar panel install, and a separate team working on the roof of the house the whole time. Everything was done in a day and it all works perfectly. The office team is always available to answer questions about tax credits and all the complicated state and regulatory paperwork; they actually DO all the paperwork on their end and then just send it to us for e-signing. Easy Peasy!

Provides good details and options. Install was quick. Price is always going to be higher when you buy the newest technology but I’m confident it that I’ll save much more than I spent in the long run.
