I had a system installed by Zenernet Solar in Roseville, CA, and have had an extremely difficult time with customer service and with the quality of the installation. I had to push in order to finally get an install date for the solar system which they kept delaying. Now that it has been installed it is not connected to the electric grid and is not providing any service at all. I have attempted to call and e-mail the company almost a dozen times with no response back, and no one answers the phone. It is always "Leave your name on the recording and someone will get back to you" As far as the installation, the inverter panel was placed in a very unaesthetic location. There was plenty of blank walls to work with that could have placed it out of view and with less potential of anyone hitting it by accident or someone messing with it on purpose just because it's so obvious. In short customer service and satisfaction is not Zenernet's goal

Signed the contract with Zenernet for solar PV only on 6/7/22. Despite two scheduling mishaps on their part where they didn't notify met at all until a fully day after they missed their appointment, they finally installed the system on 8/18/22. Final inspection occurred on 10/14/22. So far, things were rocky, but they got the job done. Everything went downhill after the final inspection occurred. They said that the system was up and running, connected to the electrical grid, but my electrical bill doesn't reflect that. They promised someone would follow up with me to wrap up the entire project and help me access their homeowner portal to see my solar production. After no contact from them, I began contacting them on 10/26/22. Every few days, I would escalate and include more people from their company who had worked on my project--sales, project managers, and installers. Eventually I forwarded my email to 8 staff members who had all previously contacted me and worked with me. No one has responded, even to this day. On 11/7/22, the CEO sends a customer-wide email saying that they're having trouble keeping up with the volume and we should email a generic customer service email, which they promise is being monitored. Of course, after I've emailed that address, no one has responded to this day. No one has any courtesy or respect to even tell me that they're backlogged and when I can expect a response. They've simply ignored all my contact attempts. Even worse is my neighbor who I referred to Zenernet. They stopped contacting him after their house visit and now they're approaching the promised 60-days of installation. Similar to me, my neighbors have received no word from Zenernet. Zenernet took their payment and now is failing to even contact the customer to plan the next step.

Zenernet are a bunch of crooks and scammers! They are no longer in business, filing for bankruptcy, you can’t get a hold of anyone. Phone numbers go to voicemail and then disconnect, no one responds to emails including their VP Jarrett H and CEO JP G. 15 months later and we are still paying a monthly electric bill with 125% coverage and they left us high and dry without processing our back up battery rebate. Not to mention, we have already paid them in full. Beware and avoid at all costs as they will sell you Solar, take your money. And then ghost you!

They do an excellent job in selling people on their product. However, the sales pitch is a lie. We signed our contract in July 2022. We were told we would have single oversight from beginning to end of project. Not true. We have not even completed the inspection phase and have already had five project managers. Project managers do not understand the part of the process they are responsible for. We should have backed out in the planning/engineering phase as the Zenernet team did not understand California building code as applied to setbacks for flat roofs. We had to go to our city building department, copy the code and send it to the Zenernet project manager. It took around one month to get a final plan as the staff was trying to draw it using a Google Earth picture and did not understand the detail of our roof or where the mechanicals were on our house. Despite that we went forward after getting our permit. The install process started with the wrong equipment being sent. Installers were subcontractors not Zenernet employees as we had been told in the sales pitch. The reschedule to another date took an incredible number of follow ups, but after another two weeks with our garage half full of solar equipment, the next team showed up. Install was completed, then we moved to the inspection phase. An appointment for inspection took two weeks to get with the subcontractor. We were told by Zenernet it would take about 3 days after install to get an inspection and a couple of weeks after that to get permission to operate by SDG&E. Inspection day came and we were told the installer would be there at 8:00 am to prepare everything for inspection. Inspection was set for 12:45. The installer was a no show for the prep and for the inspection. The city inspector gave us his card and said he would come back if we could reach the installer. We called and emailed our Inspection project manager numerous times, then tried anyone in customer service, then finally our sales consultant. No response from anyone. This was October 21st. In the business days that followed we continued the same process with no answer. The 855 prefixed number they have listed as their contact number has a full voicemail box and is no longer able to take messages. We started to search the internet to see if there was any news about Zenernet closing their doors and found one posting on Glassdoor that said that Zenernet let their sales force go on October 19th. We have good reason to believe Zenernet is no longer in business. We believe we are stranded, with a roof full of equipment that is inoperable. Not to mention that if Zenernet is out of business we will most likely be hit with liens from the equipment distributor and the installer. On top of that we will need to find some other solar company to help us get things operable and pay them as well. We are retired and were relying on Zenernet to get savings on our electrical bills and the energy tax credit for 2022.

I really wish I didn’t have to write this review but I am doing so in hopes of having my issue resolved. I purchased solar panels with Zenernet and had them installed earlier this year. I also purchased their 25 yr warranty with the panels which they boasted was superior to other companies. The sales process was easy and the reps were very responsive at the beginning. Now, several months later, I feel as though I have been scammed. I have been attempting to resolve an issue with my panels output for over a month now. I called the customer service line 3 times and had 3 different representatives tell me that they would help me and have an update for me the following business day. Nobody ever got back to me, nor has anyone responded to my emails or voicemails. I have tried calling the main customer service number on the website and the number seems to be disconnected because it goes right to a robot that says “this voicemail box is full. Please try again later” and disconnects. I have even tried reaching out to some of the sales reps who were so responsive during the install process for some clarity on how to get some help and have received no response. Zenernet, please respond to my inquiry and help me resolve this issue which you’ve said you would! I have never experienced this treatment from any company. Responding to my emails and phone calls should be a priority as I am a paying customer.

Very bad experience with zenernet broke my breaker box had to replace it that happened at the very beginning right now I have change 3 different project managers and 3 different final inspections last inspection no one showed up and 10/25/22 they have not turn on my panels so I have 3 months already paying for the loan payments and PG&E. Please don’t hire this solar company you will regret it. No one answers phone call from customer service to VP project manager.

Zenernet has been extremely difficult to work with. Initially, they were quite responsive, although still disorganized and with high turnover amongst their project managers, however their contractors worked well. However, after a substantive amount of payments were made they became significantly difficult to work with. They are disorganized and will remain silent for weeks on-end without any clear direction or communication. They are also well past the contract end date and have not completed a substantial amount of work (lacking incentive from having collected most of their fee). Their lack of communication, disorganization, and unprofessionalism makes them a 1 star company at best.

Impossible to contact, once you sign it is all down hill! $60,000 + and i am still paying $400 a month in electric, I received every excuse known to man when it came to installation, including wind on a non-windy day. Multiple no call no shows after I took off work to be there. My solar is still sub par and I am paying high electric bills even with a huge system. Do yourself a favor and use a different company.

Zenernet Top rated in my book I was very pleased with my interaction with Zenernet from day one. I wanted to thank Alfred in particular who guided me through the entire process of all that entails to go solar and always giving my objectives first priority! Felt very comfortable. Highly recommendable.

My husband and I are in search of a company that provides solar panels for our home. Although Zenernet doesn't service our area, I was fortunate to have had one of their reps assist me with my search. Jon S provided such value and knowledge -- he took the time to answer all of my questions and showed graphs on what is essential in the solar buying process. Just ask for Jon and you'll be in great hands. Thanks, ~Marlene

I don’t even know where to start, I wished I would have read the negative reviews as 75% of them are spot on. My install is into its 7th month and still not active leaving me to continue paying $300 and $400 electric bills so what was the point of getting solar. The communication has been atrocious with the account managers which rotates like tires without the courtesy of telling you they are no longer on the account ignoring emails. My optimism of getting this completed is dissipating but in for the long haul since I have spent thousands of dollars I regret going with this provider.

Tara was incredible! We were not easy clients by any means. We were new to the process, just having purchased an EV car and on a rush for installation to obtain the tax credit. We also had a lot of challenging roof designs with wanting skylights and positioning the solar panels so they were less visible from the curb. Plus endlessly crunching the numbers on the solar and planning for the future. We also had a competing company where she was able to show the value of Zennernet against the competition. She was patient, available, knowledgeable and detailed with multiple financial configurations of lending versus cash outlay., energy and roof engineering. She always made us feel heard and supported without pressure and having our best interests. She’s an incredible asset to the company. We honestly would not have moved forward without HER. Thank you Tara!! You’re an amazing professional.

Out of 20 solar companies Zenernet was our top choice. We really liked the customer service they gave us by dialing in and videoing the installation process with us.
