Emir was easy to work with, knowledgeable on the project, and quick to respond. The project was planned well with the schedule steps laid out for me to understand. The installation was quick to follow the delivery of the equipment and done quickly. I highly recommend Solar SME as a provider.

We evaluated over 8 different solar companies, some using EnergySage.com and some that came to our house and did presentations. We ultimately selected SolarSME, who we worked with through EnergySage.com and have been very happy. The EnergySage.com platform made the sales process a breeze and once we selected SolarSME as our installer, they were great to work with. The sales process with Mike Brown at SolarSME was easy. He was very responsive and provided several different proposals as we changed our system requirements. Our project manager Emir was excellent. He is very knowledgeable, responsive, and professional. He kept us up to date with everything going on with the project. The install team did a great job and was respectful of our property. Overall, SolarSME did a great job. I would recommend SolarSME to family, friends, and everyone.

My experience with Solar SME started positively in June 2022. Ray C was helpful in answering my questions and setting me up with an 8kW grid-tied PV roof-mounted system that would meet my energy needs. Raffy S and Eddie W have been the project managers and helped answer my questions. Initial installation went as planned in September, 3 months after signing the contract as expected. Then things went awry. The system failed inspection primarily because of major design flaws that were not compliant with local code. This fault is partially on SME for not doing enough due diligence to design a code-compliant system, but it is also the fault of the permit office which approved a design that would fail their own requirements. After another 4 months (7 months total) involving at least 3 different electrical contractors, the project passed inspection, but is still not operating due to a disagreement with the local utility. My advice to anyone using a solar installer who relies on contracted labor is to press for experienced, local electricians who know the code particularities of your region or to research them yourself.

We had Solar SME design a project for our house. Initially, everything went well. Then we had to deal with PECO, our local utility company, who dragged out the timeline and made a few requests to change the design, one of which was a large change. This also reset the timeline for permits with PECO. Johan, our project manager, communicated everything with us and helped us through the process. He was not afraid to reach out to us via phone or text If he did not hear back from us. This was key at times given I do not have access to email at all times. We did end up with some changes to the original plan, but Johan worked with us to make sure we were taken care of, and all parties felt happy with the changes and final product.

I had a wonderful experience with our installation form start to finish. It took a little longer, but that was due to the supply chain issues the globe is going through. So no ding on this team. Ryan managed my expectations throughout the journey.

Great quality, wonderful costumer service, attention to all my requests I had a wonderful experience with Solar SME, and very particularly with Dan M, my project manager, who always had time for me, who helped us get the best options for our needs, and who had the sensibility to work at our own timing, since we were remodeling.

Ruben did a great job with the design and communicating status updates throughout the process. I was impressed with the install team and how clean the wiring and conduit runs were. Once install kicked off it was only a little over a week that I had PTO from Oncor. Ruben stayed on top of the of the various city officials to receive the proper signoffs.

Although we still have yet to complete the process of installing the solar panels Josh L has been great to work with. Answering any questions about the timing and the process. Look forward to continuing to work with him.

Choosing the right solar company can make for a wonderful or nightmare solar experience. Thankfully I choose a good one in Solar SME. Andrew and Basem Y got me system up and running on and older house with a couple of challenges they worked through. I had just put a brand new roof on my property and Solar SME was able to offer my a warranty where they had to install the panels which made it a easier decision for me. Basem and Tom the installer also helped get to a few installation bugs and were very professional and courteous throughout the process.

Josh L was very responsive to all my questions and concerns concerning having solar panel system installed on my roof. He was able to provide me with the needed information to make an informed decision on whether a solar system was the right fit for me.

Good quotes didn't benefit me in my situation

Josh L from Solar AME developed a design and proposal for my residence and was extremely capable and competent. He was super responsive and professional. Ultimately, I decided not to pursue solar power, but that had to do with the technology and price, together with the unfortunately high interest rates due to the economy. My decision had nothing to do with the support I got from Josh, as he was excellent. I would highly recommend him.

Josh at SolarSME was a fantastic rep to work with on my solar project. He was very responsive either via email, text, or phone calls. Always followed up on my requests or concerns and detailed oriented with regards to the system specifics. Would highly recommend SolarSME and Josh again!
