Super fast service from estimate-contract-permit-install to meet the NEM 2.0 deadline

Solar Optimum was not the cheapest option of the roughly 10 I evaluated, but they were the least expensive for decent hardware and a good reputation that I was able to infer from both energy sage reviews, and slews of external reviews (including various online forum discussions). The reputation is well earned. For reference, in Southern California (SCE territory) we had a 10kw system installed along with 2 powerwalls for whole home backup and critter guards added, but this happened as it turned out in the middle of the last throws of NEM 2.0 before NEM 3.0 took over. Downsides: * The entire process took a long time (a bit over 6 months from the start of initiating contact until PTO) * There were quite a few delays getting parts and it required a few phone calls to try to get updates and gently encourage the process through. * Really, that's it. Upsides: * Everyone was courteous and professional even in the middle of the previously mentioned deluge due to the ending of NEM 2.0. * Everything was done *extremely* well. Indeed, the city inspector commented that it was one of the cleanest installs he had ever seen. (along with one of the first whole home backup systems he had seen) * The system is performing a bit above the promised specs and since we received PTO (about 6 weeks ago) there hasn't been a single problem with any of it. * When I started the process I asked about the possibility of getting SGIP rebates for the powerwalls (self-generation incentive program in California). I knew that few companies do this now, and it's very difficult to get in there. Solar Optimum told me that they could not make any promises, but they would try. Indeed, they have and it looks like we will get it (and they are still working on this AFTER we paid our balance in full!). Obviously, this does not guarantee anything going forward other than they really do try. * While there were delays on parts (likely some artifacts of the supply chain issues of 2021-2022), they were VERY much on top of the paperwork. They filed the necessary paperwork to reserve NEM 2.0 with our electric company MONTHS in advance and well before the install was completed. I don't doubt that some have had bad experiences with Solar Optimum. It's bound to happen given a big enough organization and enough customers, but even with the delays, I'm very glad to have gone with them and I'm glad to recommend them.

All I can say is that they promised me 70 - 75 days from start to finish and that was delivered on point. Not sure if this is true for everyone but Im very happy on my end. I highly recommend. Easy to talk to and always a available. I was able recommend my dad and a co worker. They already their system up and running as well . If you want true professionals if this field go call solar optimum. I had the best experience and Im almost certain you will too.

Our son was so enthusiastic about his Solar Optimum purchase, we got enthusiastic also had to install solar in our home. The installation and service has been five star. Anytime we needed anything the service has been great. Amin A: Customer Service Manager helped us this week on an issue we needed fixed. Amin tock the bull by the horns and handled the issue. Initially, our salesperson Mikkel M was great. Helpful, accommodating, and explained everything. Then, once he received his second of five payments, (We paid in full), he would stop returning our messages left. Anything from then on hand to be handled by the personnel in the Glendale Ca, office. He received not only commission on our sons purchase, or son's mother in laws purchase and eventually ours. We would never refer anyone to him. We will refer potential clients to Amin. We are very happy with our solar. Thank you Solar Optimum

Professional.. great price...Great customer service and great product

Solar Optimum provided a great system at a great price. I had 3 or 4 quotes from various companies and only one company built a system that was comparable and a similar price. The only hiccup in the process was when we completed the required repairs there was no follow up and some difficultly getting the process going, in fairness, it was Christmas, but it did put our install another month or more behind. After the communication breakdown was resolved ,the process moved quickly and the installers were really helpful and very responsive to question. They really went above and beyond when installing the system and answered questions about existing wiring and provided solutions even when they didn’t have to. The system produces even more power than was estimated and we have been producing more power than we use which means money back on the electricity bill. Would definitely recommend Solar Optimum if you’re looking for a Solar system. They have great deals and great systems and are great people to work with.

What I like is the way the staff keep you abreast of every project mile stone and the professionalism involved. The installers are well knowledgeable about what they need to do to install the equipment.
