Out of all the companies I looked into, Solar Optimum offered the best equipment and service. Once through the permitting process, installation was extremely quick and the quality of the work is outstanding.

Excellent Co. The CEO is very active and not far away from the phone. The System was installed in 2015 and pid for itself in nearly 4 years. Now we enjoy free electricity and well as fueling my Chevy bolt ALL electric car. I have no idea what gas prices are. Most importantly they sized the consumption accurately and the follow up maintenance and service haas been excellent. I highly recommend Solar Optimum.

Work was completed successfully. There was little hickup when the stucco person left a big hole in wall for couple days, and the pipes not being painted until asked etc. But overall it was good. At least I don't have problems with the system

Poor communication, Solar Optimum could NOT retain a project manager for my install, first attempt to install trashed my new roof, install had to be redone with roof repair, install crew spoke little to no English leading to confusion and errors at install DESPITE supposedly having plans drawn up and provided for the installation. Quality of product/service only made "Fair" rating because I opted for the highest quality equipment from outside providers.

Got quotes from several companies including sunpower, la solar, tesla and a few others. Tesla would not do custom-configured installs and would only install a 7kW system when I needed 11kW so they were excluded. sunpower was a magnitude more expensive even though they do general alot more power with the same size panel. In the end it came down to LA Solar and Solar Optimum. I went with solar optimum because they did a completely custom design to get as many panels on the roof as possible and also installed them with a reverse tilt where needed to maximize solar energy. they also had a 25 year warranty on all parts, including inverters, used microinverters instead of string inverters, and were cheaper than other quotes i received. When it came to the install they were also extremely quick. I did try to include powerwalls at first but this is where they really dragged their feet and took FOREVER so in the end I decided not to install batteries with the system. Other than that, I've recommended them to all my friends for solar installs.

We did a lot of research prior to buying solar panels and finally chose Solar Optimum based on quality of product, 25 yr guarantee on panels, and pricing. Salesman was very knowledgeable and did not oversell or makes empty promises. The final number of panels sold to us was spot on for our comfort and the end of year true up costs were almost $0, We've had the panels for over two years and I'm happy to report we've had not one problem or issue, panels working fine, no roof leaks. Great product, great company!

The Panasonic panels work great, and the Enphase system is especially good, providing a web site with all the information you could want on how the system is performing. My only issue was with the installation, which is not done by Solar Optimum employees, but by contractors. Better quality control is needed.
