I was referred to Sunpro in February of 2020 by my friend but wasn’t ready to commit since I didn’t know the benefit of going solar. My friend reminded me again when about closing on our new home so I decided to reach out to paul and from the 1st day we spoke to date he has guided me and made the process worthwhile. Excellent customer service and follow up was great .

My 2020 New Years Resolution was to go solar in 2020. Sales rep Paul O from SunPro met with me in February and showed me some significant improvements in the technology since I’d first begun exploring solar. I got bids from 3 other companies, a small local one and 2 large national ones. Amazingly all 4 bids were so close on price that choosing the best price just didn’t matter. For us, the key reasons we chose SunPro over the others are these: They are a Gulf Coast based company with roofing experience and we live just 5 blocks from the Texas coast with regular hurricane threats. Next, was warranty. Their full 25 year warranty and production guarantee is comforting but only if the company is strong enough to be around in 25 years to honor it. This is where their regional size gives us confidence. They’re big enough to survive in a competitive market yet small enough to give good local service. With no HOA to deal with, our system was installed and operating less than one month after we signed the contract. The one day installation went smoothly and professionally. In the 8 months since, we’ve produced more power than we use almost every day. Our monthly payment to SunPro is about the same as our average electric bill was so there is no impact on our monthly budget. It’s all upside for us and we’re very happy with our solar power system and with Sunpro for their excellent work.

I was fortunate to have 5 proposals to review. These were all very informative and it was not difficult to make an informed decision. I decided the proposal from SunPro Solar was the right fit for me, especially given they have many installs in my area and experience working with the local electric company. Paul O was very helpful in answering all my questions regarding the system. The project coordinator in the local office Joann D was also very helpful and prompt in getting back to me on timelines and so forth. Every part of the project went smoothly and as a few days ago have been producing more electricity than we are consuming. I would not hesitate to recommend SunPro solar for a no-hassle, professionally done installation.

I did a lot of research before I chose SunPro for our solar panel installation. I got 7 bids and compared them all before making my choice. SunPro was not the least expensive but I was impressed with their reviews, ratings, and overall quality. They are a bigger company with all work done by their own employees (no subcontractors – that was important to me). I was particularly impressed with their 25 year warranties including Roof damage/leakage (rare among installers). I was also impressed with their software which allows us to monitor our energy production and usage in real time (I’m a data junky). They took care of EVERYTHING in an orderly manner (paperwork, financing, applications, HOA, etc.) and kept us informed every step of the way (very reassuring). I HIGHLY recommend them (and especially Paul O, the Account Rep).

Paul O from Sunpro was a pleasure to work with. No pressure, all facts. I compared at least 7 different proposals and spoke to 4 of the companies. Paul was patient, answered all my questions, and the handoff to the project manager was seamless. Getting all the approvals and sending over pictures was an easy process. Install only took 1 day. Sunpro offered the best value when looking at price, financing terms, customer service, guarantee/warranty, and they definitely gave me peace of mind when making a financial investment of this size. I checked their customer referrals as well and everyone was pleased. I highly recommend Sunpro and working with Paul if you’re even remotely interested in going solar. I’ve had my system up and running for about 2 months now and it’s been awesome seeing the electricity I’m producing in the app.

Just finished a consultation with Jacob G, was impressed with his honesty in telling me that a system for my home just wasn’t going to be feasible. Appreciate the fact that he didn’t try to sell me something that would not work!! Very personable young man.

***UPDATED 11/16/2020*** I have revised my previous review as we were contacted (after filing a report with the BBB). The company has gone above and beyond to make sure our project is not only on track to being completed, but that we are satisfied with the resolution of the situation. I was contacted by 3 individuals (including the executive assistant to the CEO) and the project is to be completed this coming Tuesday. While the breakdown of communication was unfortunate, we cannot condemn the entire company for a few bad eggs and I have been nothing but satisfied since reaching out. I am leaving my initial review because I believe it is important for everyone to understand what COULD happen and how to handle it if it does. We are very satisfied with the communication skills of each individual we have spoken to and are very grateful for their help. Solar panels are a huge investment and SunPro Solar has done a wonderful job of restoring our faith in our decision. *** At the end of July, we entered into a contract with SunPro Solar to install a solar panel unit on our home. On Aug 27, we signed documents revising our plan 16 panels with two Tesla powerwall units instead of 29 panels (HOA wouldn't allow panels on front of home). We signed the design approval on September 9. We were informed that "we" the homeowner needed to contact the Electric company to schedule a temporary shut off. When I called our Electric company they stated the Solar company usually does this, but allowed us to schedule a time. The install was schedule for Oct.19 and was a complete disaster from the beginning. The electric company didn't show up to disconnect power on time and when they did, it was the wrong guy. (No fault of the Solar company, sort of). I feel like had they scheduled it, then the right guy would have been there for the job. Turns out the electric blueprints were not allowed by our Electric company (although, it appears it was signed off on) again, no big deal. So, the panels were put into place, but they aren't "connected". We were told new plans for the electric would need to be drawn and approved. The city inspector showed up and stated that he was sent the first plans and not the revised plans. We reached out to the company numerous times to get information on the progress being made and no one has reached out to us in a meaningful way. We were contacted by our project coordinate to let us know that a "post install" coordinator would be contacting us, but we aren't post project. We've emailed the post install coordinator, called her numerous times, and had customer service try to transfer us/ notate that we needed to be contacted. All to no avail as of the time of this review.

Good conversation with agent about pros and cons of solar for me and my situation. Felt true honesty.

Kassidy G has been very helpful in helping me understand my options for a Tesla Powerwall. She took plenty of time giving background information about Sunpro. She was amazing in giving me the calculation information I needed to justify how many batteries I would need for my system. Although I am not ready to purchase a power wall system now, I will reach out to Sun pro when I am ready. I am mainly waiting to save more money so I can place more money down upfront. I had 25 LG solar panels installed back in August and absolutely love them! Sunpro by far had the best warranties when I looked at competitors. Everything from my sales rep to installers to project coordinator was top notch. Highly recommended!

My experience started with Stephen B. ( Sunpro Solar Energy Specialist ). Mr. Brendlinger was extremely pleasant and went through extra efforts to make sure we understood every aspect of the technology as well as the finance. Everything after that went exactly as Mr. Brendlinger has stated. I really appreciated his honesty and full disclosure of the process. Before I knew it, the financing was completed. Then the permits ( HOA, City, and Utility ) were completed. SunPro contacted me shortly after to arrange an install date. Server days later I was called and offered a window that had just opened up -- I took it . So yesterday a crew arrived at 8am and installed my 13.5kw system by 5pm. The install went without a hitch. My installers Josh, Antcros, and Chris were not only skilled but extremely professional. Their Electrician Jeff performed his install then spend some time educating me on my new system. When they left I had no questions and was quite impressed. What a team !! I would recommend them to anyone out there who does not like surprises and delays. Now I am just waiting on my Utility Company to inspect and allow me to use my new system. My only complaint: SunPro has spoiled me, and now I have decreased patience.
